May 2016 – End of term review
This week marks the end of our Academic Term focusing on the Tango Dimension Axis and De Angelis. Time to review what you've learned!
Class video & notes – 01/06/2016
Dimension: Axis - Theme: Single axis steps & turns
Single steps & turns are steps where both partners' axis and the couple's axis all merge together. When dancing tango, we normally have 3 distinct axis: the leader's, the follower's and the couple's. If both partners put their feet together, then all axis merge and it creates beautiful dream-like moves.

Dimension: Axis - Theme: Colgadas
Energetically, colgadas are the opposite of volcadas. Instead of leaning towards one another, partners lean away from one another. Colgar in Spanish means to hang, so the feeling of colgadas is to hang from one another. This is a lovely step and is not so difficult as it sounds.

Dimension: Axis - Theme: Volcadas
Volcadas are one of the most classic out-of-axis tango steps where the follower leans forward and puts her weight on to the leader. This is a step where the follower needs to trust her partner with her weight.
Tandas we ❤ – Ricardo Tanturi
We like to publish tandas on our blog to get you inspired in between classes and milongas! Expect some humming or little twitches from your foot - better not fight it.
Tandas we ❤ – Edgardo Donato (Vals)
Today's tanda is vals by Donato.
Class video & notes – 18/05/2016
Dimension: Axis - Theme: Gentle lifts & stumbles
This week, our exploration of the axis took us to have a look at lifts and stumbles - nothing like Strictly, don't worry. These are very nice steps that either add a light touch or a heavy feeling to your dancing, allowing you to have more depth.
Class video & notes – 15/05/2016
Dimension: Axis - Theme: Pasadas
Pasadas are steps where the follower goes over the leaders' foot. Pasadas are softer than paradas where the leader blocks the follower with his leg. In contrast, in pasadas, the leader only blocks with his foot. They are very elegant and airy moves that would go very well with music like De Angelis.
April 2016 – End of term review
This week marks the end of our Academic Term focusing on the Tango Dimension Immersion and on Old School Milongueros. Time to review what you've learned!
Tandas we ❤ – Alfredo de Angelis (Tango)
One of the best ways to improve your dancing is to know tango music better. Today's tanda is by De Angelis - atmospheric and moody.
