Dimension: Speed - Theme: Melodic orchestras II

In this class, we continued to see how to add contrasts to slow, melodic orchestras with a really nice sanguchito for beginners. For intermediate plus, we studied in more details the song Nada and saw how to interpret it with a twirling planeo ending in a volcada, contrasted with a quick cadena.

Dimension: Speed - Theme: Melodic orchestras I

In this class, we focused on slow orchestras such as Di Sarli and saw a couple of steps that helped emphasise the melodic aspect of these orchestras or, on the contrary, capture any moment with higher energy. Dancing to any orchestra is about emphasising contrasts, so that you don't dance the whole song in a linear way.

Dimension: Speed - Theme: Fundamentals of changes of speed (and fun, quick steps)

To start our new theme, we focused on musicality, and studied 2 little steps that are really nice to mark the end of the musical phrase. For intermediates+, we saw a version of the baby ocho and the corte, which can be used on rhythmical orchestras or to mark the end of musical phrases.

Dimension: The embrace - Theme: Review

In this class, we applied two important concepts that we have studied over the past month (opening & closing the embrace and grounding & lifting) to a couple of beautiful, romantic steps using ochos and a lapiz.
