Dimension: Speed - Theme: Asynchronicity I

Asynchronicity is a great tool to add a deeper musical reading as one partner stays on the melody and the other marks the beat. A more complex use of asynchronicity is to have one partner move to the voice. In this class, we put the spotlight onto followers and then onto leaders. When one partner moves whilst the other stays static, it draws the attention to them.

Dimension: Speed - Theme: Mixing energies and speeds in complex figures

In this class, we started with a very fluid way to enter into the cross and then explored original ways to lead crosses with the right leg. These are quite creative variants of the classic cross which can be used to vary speed and energy.

In this class, we looked at how we could change speed in the giros - sometimes on the beat, sometimes on double time. We also incorporated classic cortados into giros to create really nice steps that will come handy on busy dancefloors.

Dimension: Speed - Theme: Rhythmical orchestras II

We continued to explore change of speed and looked at steps that could be used on rhythmical orchestras like D'Arienzo, Rodriguez... The idea is to find little steps that you can start quickly when the music change to rhythmical tempo.

Dimension: Speed - Theme: Rhythmical orchestras I

In this class, we looked at little steps that would work well on rhythmical orchestras or on the more rhythmical part of any tango song. These steps are great tango salon classics and if you look at any performance by tango salon dancers, you'll see that they probably use them.
