Theme: Dancefloor-friendly rhythmical steps.

In this class, we saw a couple of very simple and versatile rhythmical steps that are ideal for orchestras like D'Arienzo or Rodriguez or to pick up on rhythm change in any tango song. We saw steps based on changes of weight. Very milonguero.

Theme: Sudden changes of direction.

When the music changes, it's quite nice to be able to reflect this in your dancing. One way to do this is to change directions. In this class, we've seen a couple of 180-degree turns, some quite simple for beginners and other a bit more advanced from the Americana position. Elegant and sophisticated, a must in your repertoire of tango steps.

Theme: Back cross combinations

You know we have a soft spot for back crosses - they're dancefloor friendly, they're musical and they simply look great. In this class, we saw a simple back cross, and then quicker ones with both legs to close the musical phrase before playing with cross and sandwich combinations.

Theme: Ocho cortado with entrada, arrastre and enganche

We continued the work started in the previous class on the ocho cortado. This time, we became even more adventurous and started with a "mini" cortado before adding an entrada, an arrastre and an enganche. Add sparkle to your cortado!
