Arrastres (foot sweep) are a tango classic. They're sensual, musical and ideal to add an element of surprise to your dancing. In this class, we saw a couple of variants, including a very nice arrastre from the forward ocho and another more challenging example from the giro.

In this class, we saw a couple more variations on the back sandwiches, including one from the grapevine. In both steps, we looked at how to add an arrastre (Sweep)

The sandwich step (sanguchito) is a great tango classic and it's easy to see why: it's cute, musical and can be used in a multitude of combinations. In this class, we started with the most classic sandwhich and then worked on a couple of combinations, including the very creative back sandwiches.
This past month has been very exciting and saw us launch our new Yearly Academic Programme. This week marks the end of our first Academic Term focusing on the Tango Dimension Directions and on Canaro's orchestra. Time to review what you've learned!
