Dimension: Energy - Theme: Romantic planeos

Planeos can really bring a bit of romance in any slow, dramatic tangos. Think Di Sarli, Malberba, Fresedo, Calo, certain slow Canaro like Poema. In this class, we saw a couple of simple versions and then built up to more complex planeos with advanced adornments.

Dimension: Energy - Theme: Changes of energy using the cross

The cross - such a classic step, the Argentinian call it the resolution step. To bring life and excitement back into the cross, we looked at how we could play with the energy (slower, faster) and use the cross to enter beautiful giros.

Dimension: Axis - Theme: Single axis steps & turns

Single steps & turns are steps where both partners' axis and the couple's axis all merge together. When dancing tango, we normally have 3 distinct axis: the leader's, the follower's and the couple's. If both partners put their feet together, then all axis merge and it creates beautiful dream-like moves.
