Dimension: Energy - Theme: High energy steps
In this class, we had a look at rebounds in backward ochos for beginners & improvers. We then put a bit more energy in the step to create what we like to call baby backward ochos. We also had a look at baby forward ochos and how to link both.

3 tango frenemies you might want to think about
There are 3 words commonly used in tango which I can only think of as "frenemies". They sound helpful whilst actually leading to misunderstandings about what tango and what the role of each partner is about. Let's expose them now. Maybe we can confront these frenemies, bend these hung-up definitions and achieve a nicer dancing experience in the process.

Tandas we ❤ – Pugliese (Tango)
This week is a special treat - with Pugliese songs bringing so much drama to the dancefloor, they are often chosen for performances, so we've selected quite a few by world-class artists, including Lorena Ermocida.

Dimension: Axis - Theme: Volcadas
Volcadas are beautiful out of axis steps where the follower leans forward onto her partner. There are quite a few versions, the main ones being circular vs linear volcadas.

Planeos... Another beautiful, aerial tango family step. In the beginner class, we started with two classic planeos, one from the backward ocho and the other from the forward ocho. In the second class, we were a bit more adventurous and saw an off-axis planeo, a planeo on both legs and a very nice planeo from a sentada (a personal favourite)
