Sunday 02/03 with champions Paula Emerick & Juliano Andrade class and SHOW

We have the honour to welcome, as a UK exclusive on the 2nd of March 2025, the maestros and metropolitan champions Paula Emerick
& Juliano Andrade, for one day only!

Juliano Andrade and Paula Emerick, with a cumulated experience of over 45 years are the champions of the Campeonato de Baile de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires (Milongueros del Mundo), Brazilian tango de pista champions, and finalists in the World Tango Championship in 2017, 2019, 2022, 2024. They are known for their elegance and creativity, both in salon and stage. Don’t miss their UK exclusive milonga (class and show). They will teach about Turns and Sacadas, structure of the famous dancers Mingo and Esther Pugliese*!

The milonga Los Angelitos will follow, with its friendly vibes and the music of TDJ Juliano and Bruno  (mano a mano). EXCLUSIVE SHOW OF THE MAESTROS!

* The old milongueros Mingo and Esther Pugliese were among the most respected tango dancers and teachers of the argentine tango revival. They were responsible for teaching traditional tango from the 1950s to the younger generations of the 1980s and 1990s. Mingo, who also worked as an accountant, used his mathematical skills to systematize the 8-count turn (giro de 8). This methodology makes it possible to understand all the possibilities of sacadas in tango.

Programme

  • 2PM Beginners class (Level 1, 1 hour): TANGO: MY FIRST MEDIA LUNA. You will discover this iconic step, a beautiful movement in which the leader is going around the follower. For further classes check our Beginners page for our beginner curriculum & offers.
  • 2PM Improvers class (Level 2, 1 hour): MEDIA LUNA FUNDAMENTALS. Add some variations to make it even more exciting!
  • 3PM MASTERCLASS (Level 3 & 4, 1.5 hour): TURNS WITH SACADAS: STRUCTURE OF MINGO & ESTHER PUGLIESE. Learn how to truly challenge and thrill your partner with this iconic step and add a hint of out of axis. Challenging but fun! With the maestros.
  • 4.30PM MILONGA Los Angelitos, in the beautiful hall of Jacksons Lane. TDJ TBA & SHOW OF THE MAESTROS. Drinks and nibbles available; you can BYOB or cakes if you want to share (or not) :-).
