We are excited to be part of the LONDON TANGO ENCUENTRO & TangotoCUP on November 15 to 17!

We are collaborating with leading London tango schools to bring you an exciting event, with non stop dancing for an entire weekend. London Tango Encuentro is an amazing event where we come together, hug each other, welcome visitors, forge new friendships and spread the joy of Tango!

London Tango Encuentro runs along with TangotoCUP London competition. On Sunday 17th, we will celebrate the closing of the event at Los Angelitos with a special programme for that day, with not one but two milongas and the final of the CUP, when the champion will be selected.

For the first time we will run, for the Encuentro, two milongas, with different atmospheres and TDJs. At location: UNITY, 277A Upper street, London N1 2TZ. Subscriptions not available today.

LTE MATINEE MILONGA, with classes and social dancing:

  • 2PM Beginners class (Level 1, 1 hour): AMERICANA. Discover tango! Learn how to lead this elegant step.
  • 2PM Improvers class (Level 2, 1 hour): AMERICANA VARIATIONS. Learn variations of these playful steps, and how to use them with the music.
  • 3PM MASTERCLASS (1.5 hours): COMPLEX DYNAMICS & INVERTED SACADAS: dynamics for intermediate and advanced level, incl. holding positions and adaptations to the dance floor.
  • Today’s maestros: Dante Culcuy & Chris Benson + assistants Shashi & Gizem
  • 4.30PM – 7.30PM LTE MATINEE MILONGA. SHOW OF THE MAESTROS + Guest TDJ Shashi.

LTE CLOSING MILONGA

  • 8PM doors open. London Tango Encuentro CLOSING MILONGA, with guest TDJ IVO AMBROSI.
  • Final of the TangotoCUP competition during the evening.
  • Last tanda at 11pm.

  • 2pm Beginner / Improver class (60′): £15 (with Milonga +£10)
  • 3pm MASTERCLASS (90′): £25pp (with Milonga +£10)
  • Both 2pm+3pm (90′): £30pp (with Milonga +£10)
  • 4.30PM (Los Angelitos) or 8PM (Closing) Milonga: one milonga £15 or both £25.
  • All day classes & Milongas, (2PM to 11PM): £50
  • NOTE: for card payments at the door we will add £0.5 cost per transaction
