Sunday 27/04 SPECIAL MILONGA with guest teacher Mara Oviedo, Live music and  TDJ Ivo – until 8pm

Our biggest event these last few months: we will organise a special event with the virtuosos Joe Powers and Mark Wyman playing live, for our greatest pleasure. Plus tango champion Mara Oviedo will join us during the classes!

What a brilliant afternoon: we will start with our classes at 2pm (beginners and improvers), followed at 3pm by a Masterclass with world cup multifinalist and TangotoCup champion Mara Oviedo giving a Vals masterclass with Bruno.

We will open the milonga with the world’s most famous tango harmonicist, award-winning Joe Powers, who has been working with the greatest tango orchestras and delighted crowds all over the world. He will  be in an exclusive Duo with mark Wyman, travelling to the UK for the occasion, also famous for his pianist flair: Mark is behind the score transcription on paper of most old tangos and is reknown for his craft at the piano. Unmissable!

The milonga will run all afternoon, with a mix of live music and tandas carefully crafted by TDJ Extraordinaire Ivo – dancing time is extended until 8pm for the occasion.

  • 2PM Beginners class (Beginners, 1 hour): TANGO: MY FIRST OCHO WITH CORTE. You will discover this iconic step, a beautiful movement that is the start of so many others. For further classes check our Beginners page for our beginner curriculum & offers.
  • 2PM Improvers class (Improvers, 1 hour): CORTE VARIATIONS. Add some fun variations to make it even more exciting! With Cate & Bruno.
  • 3PM MASTERCLASS with Mara Oviedo and Bruno (Intermediates and Advanced, 1.5 hour): VALS NEW CADENAS AND INNER RHYTHM for the dancefloor. Love vals? We also do. Learn how to truly challenge and thrill your partner with new cadenas that will make their heart jump (with delight!).
  • 4.30PM MILONGA Los Angelitos, in our beautiful hall. TDJ IVO! Nibbles available; you can BYOB or cakes if you want to share (or not) :-).

Costs are higher due to the event (musicians and a tango champion!). You can purchase your ticket at the door. You cannot use your packages and subscriptions today.
