What a treat! We have the honour to welcome maestra Veronica Vasquez (Buenos Aires) who will be teaching today with Bruno during the 10th anniversary!
Veronica is an exceptional dancer, choreographer, performer and teacher, who started dancing tango at the age of 11. She came so close to being world champion so many times, it is, in our opinion, just a matter of time she will be.
Her approach is based on biomechanics which she specifically studied. She is also a life coach. Discover about her below! She will teach the Sunday lessons at Tanguito in February, with Bruno. She is well known for her elegance, style and precision, as well as her kind and hands-on approach to her teaching. Don’t miss her!

They soon embarked in an international career and taught and performed in Spain, Italy, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Netherlands, Polland, Bulgary, Greece, Russia, Irland, Hungary, and UK among others, including at festivals such as the ones in Biezenmortel (Netherlands), Benidorm (Spain), Greece, Bulgary to name a few. In 2013, 2014 and 2015, they were finalists in the Worldwide tango championships (Mundial de Tango) in salon category.
In the next years she taught and danced with several other professional tango dancers, in 2016 with Damian Mechura with whom she was finalist at the Mundial. They toured in the US and Europe during the following years teaching workshops and performing in Milongas and festivals. And from 2018 Veronica worked in Buenos Aires and abroad teaching alone and with different partners that invited her to share her knowledge in different places around Europe. During lockdown she became a Life coach to help her further develop her teaching skills.
Her profound knowledge of tango, biomechanics and teaching makes her truly sought after at home and internationally. Don’t miss the chance to develop your tango with Veronica, a true gem who managed to keep a personal and gentle approach when teaching.

♬♬ ABOUT OUR TDJ EL NEGRO FLORES ♬♬
TDJ Edwin accepted to respond to our interview.
Edwin, can you tell us a little about your musicalization? First, where did you musicalize in Europe?
Sure thing! I have musicalized in Italy, Spain, France, Belgium, Malta, England, Slovenia, Ireland, and also in Ecuador.
-What would you say is your style of DJing, what do you like to play?
I would define my style as being perhaps classic, since I love to play with the most important orchestras of the golden age. However, I also occasionally play more recent orchestras to match the dancers’ preferences on the floor.
– How do you arrange your cortinas?
The cortinas are the experiences of my life, from my past and present. It is also based on my research about different music outside tango. So you will need to come and experience it to understand how I arrange cortinas.
– What do you try to create during the milonga?
I aim at creating an atmosphere that will inspires the dancers in every step.
– How is vinyl playing different from MP3s on a computer?
Musicalization with Vinyls is very different from any other format. The sound is authentic unlike the MP3 formats, yet it is still very elaborate. In vinyl musicalization, there is no room for mistakes and it takes a certain experience to make it right. Play music with vinyls gives me an immersive experience of moving into other times.
♬♬ DANCING ON VINYLS ♬♬
Dancing tango on vinyl at a milonga offers a uniquely visceral experience that transcends the digital realm. The rich, warm sound of analog records creates a palpable atmosphere, allowing dancers to connect more deeply with the music and each other. The tactile nature of handling vinyl—the weight of the records, the ritual of placing them on the turntable—invokes a sense of nostalgia and authenticity that often feels lost in the sterile precision of digital files.
